Overview

Coaching for High Performance is designed to help managers and leaders build effective coaching skills and a coaching-led leadership style in order to drive high performance within their teams.

You will refine capabilities through impactful goal setting, connecting to understand with active listening, adopt the GROW model to structure conversations, and learn which powerful questions to ask to prompt action and accountability. Each workshop covers a different skill that builds through practical application and makes up the Coaching for High Performance model.

Goal Setting

By the end of this class, you will be able to:

  • Identify how and when to set goals
  • Avoid goal-setting pitfalls and implications
  • Decide which goal-setting framework you find the most helpful

Session #2
Active Listening

October 13, 2022

By the end of this class, you will be able to:

  • Feel the difference between active and passive listening
  • Identify where you are on the ‘levels of communication’ scale
  • Increase levels of communication with tools and techniques

Session #3
GROW – Theory

October 20, 2022

By the end of this class, you will be able to:

  • Effectively use the GROW model for structured conversations
  • Use GROW to set goals, understand current situation and challenges, identify solutions and agree ways forward, and have impactful conversations
  • Use powerful questioning techniques when working with others

Session #4
GROW – Practical

October 27, 2022

By the end of this class, you will be able to:

  • Improve GROW model usage with peer feedback
  • Continually improve active listening skills outside of the classroom

Due to the length of this course, there will be no cohorts.

No, there is no final exam at the end of this course.

Yes, 100% attendance is required. We recommend that participants attend the live sessions for the optimal learning experience, but watching session recordings count toward attendance for those who have scheduling conflicts or are in time zones where live attendance is a challenge.

After successfully meeting attendance requirements, you will receive a certificate of completion for this course/school.
